Infectious Seduction

Infectious Seduction
It started with a look
An innocent demeanor
A few uttered words
Couldnt be spoken any sweeter
Quickening your heart
As you inch even closer
subtle glances, second chances
A heated intensity
You hold intrigue
You're a mystery
I find myself drawn
Even when you're not around
I wonder what I'll see
when you open up those bounds
You watch, you speak, you move
you drink..
And somehow you've infected the way that I think.
Its wrong, its raw
Its odd, its true
How strange it is to see
that out there existed someone like you
In all my aging journeys
and every one I've met
There's something odd about this.
I feel like I should be your pet.
You inspire a need with me
You bring me to a place I've not traipsed on before.
And every time you walk away
I stare longing at the door.
I dont know what will happen
I dont dare speak to defy it
I just know that hours pass and seem
not long enough to last whenever you are around
I know I shouldnt feel it
I know I shouldnt give it another thought
But it seems like since I met you..
You've invaded my every thought.

Pass the Baton Blog Hop: Erotic Tales of Love, Lust and Learning.

To get started I would like to introduce you to the lovely and amazing Lucee Lovett,
the wonderful erotica writer who asked me to be involved with this blog hop event.

Lucee Lovett is the writer behind the 13 Doors Series. Her first book, The Retreat was released January of 2013, and she just released another book entitled Immortal Heart: the Search for Larissa, which is the premiere book in her Immortals Series.

Lucee hails from the United Kingdom, and is a mother, wife and the owner of a dog she calls Blue.

In her own words:

Hi there! I’m Lucee Lovett, wife and mother by day, romance erotica author and publisher by night. I live in London, with terrific kids, husband and a great dog named Blue.
I’m started publishing my own ebook series in January 2013. I’m as pleased as punch with my achievements. I write across quite a few genres, but my favorite and main works are in erotica and the erotic subgenres.
I love it because it allows me to remove the mask on my own desires and fantasies and share them contextually with others, in the guise as fiction.
Location:
 London England UK
Interest:
Books on Paranormal/Supernatural, Sci Fi and Erotica Romance.  I love reading and writing in these genres.
Music:
I have an appreciation for all kinds of music.

What Am I Working On:
Right now I am still working on getting the third and final installment to my series The Scarlet Erotique Series. The final installment is titled Simply Scarlet, and it is proceeded by book 1, Simply Crimson, and book 2 Simply Rouge. We just did the cover reveal for Simply Scarlet at my last author takeover event, and the release date is June 6TH.
How Does my Work Differ from Others in my Genre:
This is an interesting question. A hard one to answer without sounding like a narcissist, but still still an intriguing question. That being said what makes my work any different from any other erotica author is that I wrote it. Sure, its great to pick up an intriguing erotic tale that someone else has written and soak up the pages like a sponge. I love doing that. It was my love of reading erotica that pushed me to decide to write erotica. The difference though is those were not my stories. They were the crafting of another artist's but in order to create my own canvas I needed to begin working on a story that came from my imagination. That is what makes my work different. It is mine, it is a place where I can write out fetishes, fantasies, desires, and also educate others to those things. Sexuality is not a bad thing. It is natural, it is human, it is part of life. It should not be swept under the carpet, and women shouldn't be made to feel dirty for liking to read those things. Men also shouldn't be ostracized for their desires to read provocative stories. So what makes my work different? Its simple: my work is a place where the imagination is allowed free reign.
Why I Write What I Do:
Erotica wasn't my preferred genre at first. I have nine books out already and each of them are very different. Several of them do have sex scenes but not enough to be classified as erotica. People have asked me where my inspiration for The Scarlet Erotique Series came from, and as I've thought about it more and more I have realized that I know what I wanted to read, and what I wanted to see. That came from the emergence of Fifty Shades of Grey. That being said allow me to elaborate, in my opinion, Fifty Shades of Grey is not a horrid book, but it is not the best book I've ever read either. On that note I have to be honest, I gritted my teeth at Anastasia Steele and her character development irritated the heck out of me. Then I had to look at Christian Grey objectively and I decided that I couldn't find a solid dominant anywhere in him. The man was fifty shades of effed up for sure, but the worst part about him to me was that he was a submissive under a Domme before he decided to jump ship and become a dominant. Sadly Mr. Grey left me sorely disappointed, and Anastasia was too naive to really know anything about the BDSM lifestyle. So my excitement to see a mainstream erotica with BDSM elements quickly fizzled out after I finished the third installment. I was left utterly disappointed by the entire thing. Back to The Scarlet Erotique Series, I named this series with a color scheme that I felt suited the true lifestyle: RED. There is nothing grey about BDSM. If there is anything left in a grey area I would be extremely worried about that relationship dynamic for sure. For two, BDSM is not lame or colorless. If anything it is erotic, exotic, passionate and under the right circumstances can be very liberating for a couple to spice up their intimacy. This is what I wanted to show the world. BDSM is not evil. Its not just some twisted sadomasochistic game. Yes, there are levels of people's likes/dislikes but in general the people who practice this lifestyle are pretty normal people. With that being said I also needed to show the world how there are dangerous sides to the lifestyle as well so people would learn the differences between a good dominant and a bad dominant. Why? Because I feel that as an author and a practioner of BDSM that we have a responsibility to educate our fans and others about the safety net requirements needed to participate in this type of relationship. Like tantra and other erotic methods, BDSM is just an extension of people's sexual interests. It is a healthy and good thing to embrace your sexuality, and learn techniques which you find enjoyable. The reason for this is simple since the release of Fifty Shades of Grey, there has been an influx of vanilla/curious individuals who want to participate in the lifestyle but have no knowledge about it at all. Many of these people turn to the internet for guidance, a place where both education, and predators mesh I might add.  All of these things are what prompted me to start working on my vanilla submissive and main character from the series, Camille Alessandra de Clervaux. I envisioned a beautiful red head woman who had a degree of sophistication, business background, and wasn't quite as naive as Anastasia Steele. Still I wanted Camille to be different, and I wanted her to seem more real. So I began working very hard on her character arc and development before I ever typed the first word of the manuscript to book one, Simply Crimson. Camille's red hair is also a play on the series title, and the book titles just popped into my head randomly. (#2 Simply Rouge and #3 Simply Scarlet). Then came the story plot. Camille needed a few catalysts to thrust her into the BDSM world because I needed to show my readers why Camille needed change, and why being vanilla and jumping into the lifestyle was not a good idea. So Camille's better half was born, Julien Leonard von Beirutt, who I saw in my head as being a rotten bastard with so many flaws and the inability to see past his own ass. I wanted Julien to be a jerk, with sadistic tendencies, but I didn't want him to be a psychopath. Andre` Gustav DuPointe` was my wild card. I needed him to be charming enough to seduce a vanilla woman with ease, but also have a dark undertone that nobody could peg. I'll leave you hanging on that note so as to not reveal spoilers! Moving on to Jeremiah St. Clair, whose inspiration came from my husband in a lot of ways. There is a lot about him that resembles the type of personality Jeremiah has, and since my husband was the first person to get me to see the beauty in BDSM, it is no surprise that Jeremiah St. Clair is the perfect Savior Dom. While Camille is not based of my real life, she does have similar qualities, and flaws. So the story is inspired by several things. My only hope is that everyone who reads it enjoys it as much as I did writing, and that they all come to love Camille as much as I have. I'll always adore my fiery red head myself.

How Does my Writing Process Work:

Again a very interesting question. I am a student in my senior year of the Creative Writing for Entertainment, Bachelor's of Fine Arts program at Full Sail University. My program is rigorous and has focused on all aspects of the creative writing industry including tv shows, television, video gaming, graphic novels and the publishing and distribution field. Because of this I have had to write a variety of different writing types and the process has been different for each. In regard to my erotic writing the process is usually just me sitting down, putting on some good tunes, and tuning out the world as I venture into my story setting. From there the writing just flows and I let it. I liken my process to the writer's waterfall effect. When it comes, it comes crashing down just like a waterfall, and when it ends it stills to silence just like the river once it has passed the crashing cliffside.

It is now time to pass the baton to three other erotica authors and the first on the list is the amazing Marc Nobbs:

Marc Nobbs is originally from Wolverhampton in Black County, England. He published his first erotic series through an erotic story website entitled Ruthie's Club. His first novel, Charlotte's Secret, was released in 2008 by Phaze and by 2011 Marc launched Parkland Publishing. Because of his education and ambitions Marc moved from an inner-city neighborhood to a posh area where he is literally just a stone-toss away from Princess Diana's gravesite. He now resides in Northamptonshire and when he is not writing he enjoys spending time with his family, and working peacefully in his garden where he grows a multitude of fruits and vegetables.

Next is the sophisticated Author Niquel

In her own words:

Author Niquel is an artistic jack of all trades. She writes, does all of her own graphics, and makes custom handmade crafts for little girls. Born and raised in and around Boston, she’s attended two colleges, Massasoit for graphic design and CDIA at Boston University for 3D animation. She decided to revisit her long lost passion for writing and created The Forbidden Series of books. Book one, A Forbidden Love was released in March 2014 and the 2nd book in the series will be out late spring/early summer.

Niquel currently lives just outside of Boston, with her very supportive significant other and their two precious daughters.

The third and final erotica author I will be sharing with you today is Felicia Fox

Felicia Fox is the creator of the Consumed Series, the first book was entitled Consumed and debuted in December 2013. Since then Felicia has published the second installment entitled Captive, which is her most current release (published May 2014)

Simply Crimson starts a new series by Sai Marie Johnson called The Scarlet Erotique Series. It tells of the story of trophy wife, Camille de Clervaux who suspects her husband of infidelity and decides to, one night, investigate. What she discovers goes way beyond anything she ever suspected and is suddenly thrust into a new and wonderfully dark world she never dreamed of being in.
I will start by saying that I don't think I would recommend this to the squeamish reader or anyone looking for a more sweet romance. The title and cover say it all: it's a really hot read. Though combined with Ms. Johnson's writing style, even the most depraved acts come across as being almost poetic. For a short read, the characters are pretty well developed, as is the atmosphere, and in many ways I think this actually tops the first book in the Dark Priesthood series.

Wow! Started Simply Rouge and finished already! I just could not put it down. The ending really stood out to me - the way the book ended and with the scene used at the ending, it feels like a double entendre, and I loved how a certain word played into this (sorry if this doesn't quite make sense, but I do not want to give anything away to those who haven't read it). I really liked getting some more insight into the characters from Simply Crimson and the introduction of new characters - I really wish I could get into Camille's head and know exactly what she is thinking. It seems there is some confusion/inner turmoil on Camille's part as to what exactly she wants and this was expressed enough to make readers feel this. The only bad part (and not really a bad part) but I wanted more of Jeremiah St. Clair! Thank you for another great book, Sai!

Camille is a prudishTrophy wife who makes a life changing discovery about her husband and his business affairs.
Camille finds herself thrown into a lifestlye that suprises and excites her but it also horrifies her, she discovers a part of her self that she wasn't awear she disired and a voyage of self discovery. The need to be to be found desireable and so much more.
I felt like a fly caught in a web being consumed by Ms Johnson's story. I was totally captivated and drawn into Camille I felt her emotions good and bad her humilliation her passion to be wanted.
I would totally recommend these books to any body willing to experience such a jaw dropping story.
It however is a 18+ BDSM story and the story couldn't be told any other way (I wouldn't want it any other way ).
I did not want it to end.

I started on the first page and got completely sucked in! This was an excellent book! It stirred emotions that I didn’t even know could be stirred, by a lifestyle that I do not know a lot about! I love Cami’s Character and the fact that this story causes you to think outside the box, and encourage you to be responsible in any and all decisions that you make with yourself and others! Oh yes, it’s extra hot and steamy too! I finished these books earlier today, and it is still all I can think about! Well, I for one cannot wait until June 6th to continue in this journey of trying to figure out what a person wants for themselves as opposed to what everyone else wants and expects!

In the Limelight: Interview with Author HK Sterling/KD Rose

How long have you been a writer?
I've been writing all my life, but I just started publishing recently.

What motivated you to become a writer?
It's something that just came naturally. I write poems in

my head while traveling, make notes when I wake up from things I dream; have blank notebooks

everywhere imaginable so I have a place to jot things down when they come to me. Believe it or not I

*still* lose ideas. I fall for my own act that I will "remember it later".

What is your favorite thing about writing?
I live in an abstract world in my head so my favorite thing is

trying and sometimes being successful at articulating those concepts. Other times I can't because I just

can't seem to bring it down to earth.

What are some of the books by others that have inspired you?
All the old science fiction writers. Harlan

Ellison, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Robert Heinlein. I would say Ellison's Dangerous Visions remains

my favorite, though all of Philip K Dick's books are favorites. I also get inspiration from music, art and

poetry. Oh, and when I was really young as a kid, I loved Agatha Christie.

Does anything else inspire you? Ie movies, music, etc if so, what?
Ha, yeah, I couldn't live without music.

There you have the intersection of words ( which I love), ideas, and music so it's a triple enticement.

Tell us about your latest book. What gave you the idea? My latest book ( releases June 13) is a sequel.

Though both books are standalones ( no cliffhangers) they relate to each other and have the two main

characters in each though from a different point of view. I wrote the first book "A Taste For Killing"

because I wanted a strong female lead, but wanted to show her inner insecurities as well. I wrote

the sequel "A Taste For Danger" in order to focus on the anti-hero from the first book, though both

characters appear.

Have you ever experienced what others call writer's block?
If so, what are methods you use to get up

and running again. Or, if you don't believe in writers block, tell us why. I have experienced it and I

do believe in it, though I understand why others don't. If you are used to being a wellspring of ideas

it comes as a shock when suddenly you aren't. I get over it by reading ( others books or poetry) and

listening to music. Also art. Anything that inspires you will connect with the creative part in you and

then that part will want to speak again.

What is your favorite genre to write?
If you write in multiple genres, tell us why you picked those

particular ones. With two different pen names, I write in multiple genres. There will be even more in a

year or two. I write in the genres I either love the most or come naturally. For example, I have a short

story ( called a Breathless Press Flirt) titled "Eyes Only". That story is a Russian Nesting Doll (http://

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matryoshka_doll if readers don't know what that is) to the extreme and I loved

writing that. And short too! I love economy of words.

In general writing in multiple genres keeps you from getting bored and let's you try out new things. You

never know what your creativity will find most fruitful.

What is your favorite character that you have written?

My anti-hero, Jack, in both "A Taste For Killing" and "A Taste for Danger" is my favorite.

What is it about that character that you love? Gotta love the bad boys with good hearts. I typically love

anti-heroes in general. Though I have to say, under my other pen name ( KD Rose) in Erasing: Shadows I

love a character this is a grandmother, but is in no way your ordinary grandmother. She is wise and wily

and full of secrets.

Where is your favorite place to write?
I am lucky in that my husband is an architectural millman so we

bought an old crappy house and made it into what we wanted. I got the office/library of my dreams

and that is what I write in. Though as I said before, I am liable to make notes all over. I think poetry is

probably the only thing I don't write in my office. That I tend to write outside and in novel places that

speak to me more.

Are you on social media?
If so, which ones do you find most valuable as an author? Yes, I am on all

the social media (Both pen names!) and it sucks the time out of your writing and life. LOL Right now,

Facebook is still most valuable but of course as an author, Goodreads as well and Twitter is more

valuable than one would think. Then of course there is your blogs and others' blogs etc.

Have you ever done in-person events or signings or do you stay pretty much behind the screen?

Pretty much behind the screen.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Leave Reviews! ; )

EXCERPT FROM A TASTE FOR KILLING

He had six-pack abs, and I wanted to feel the carbonation. This one dressed like the

stereotype of a construction worker, down to the handkerchief he used to wipe sweat off his

forehead. I don't know if he or the hot day brought it out, but sweat poured off of me too. He

had no interest in me as a person, though. I was invading his territory. Still, I enjoyed the view.

For my part, I knew my clothes looked crappy. I didn’t have to wear uniforms anymore, but

my street clothes, well they were very—street. So there I stood, a turd in the sun in front of this

He pointed to a small trailer up a muddy hill. The supervisor I asked to see apparently

stayed in there. Stayed, as in never left. Great. Mud. Now I'd be a dried turd in the sun. Adonis

went back to digging and I started the trek up the hill. At least I came with boots. Steel toed.

Once I made it to the trailer, I heard an argument going on inside.

"Look, I don't care who you are. The plans are publically filed. Go get them yourself!"

Then I heard a voice I knew. Calm, cool, subversive. "Is there any reason you're being so

difficult? A man did die on your watch."

An encounter I hadn’t planned on. Well, at least not until later tonight. I knocked loudly

on the door and with my sweetest voice said, "Hello, boys. Am I interrupting something?"

"Great," groused the supervisor. "A party." He appeared to me like another stereotype,

puffing on a cigar over a fat jowl line and rotund stomach that threatened to overturn the small

desk he was behind. I guess there's a reason for stereotypes. He looked about four hamburgers

On a wooden chair in front of the supervisor sat Jack. A fellow independent detective, an

ally at times, a competitor...and my on and off lover.

"Well, well, well," he said smiling, but I could tell he wasn’t happy to see me. Not here.

It meant we were both working the same case. "Hello, Carolyn. Who hired you?"

"Girlfriend," he answered back.

We stared at each other. Complications.

The only bad part (and not really a bad part) but I wanted more of Jeremiah St. Clair! Thank you for another great book, Sai!

Another smash hit out of the park!!! Kept me turning pages until the end. I've fallen in love with the characters and can't wait to see who Camille chooses at the end.

In the Limelight: Author Linda Heavner Gerald

SMJ: First tell us a little bit about yourself, and who you are:

LHG  I am currently retired but have discovered writing which is one of the most fulfilling skills that I have ever experienced.  My husband and I enjoy walking on the beach, gardening, I love to paint, working on my ancestry for the DAR and of course writing.  I have one son and one grandson.

SMJ: What are your ambitions for your writing career?

LHG Helping others either find that they are not beyond the redemptive powers of God and always writing on current health problems with the latest answer.

SMJ: Which writers inspire you?

LHG Nelson DeMille, Nicholas Sparks, Jeffry Archer, F. Scott Fitzgerald and John Grisham.

SMJ: Tell us a little bit about what have you written?

LHG Beaufort Betrayal is my first book.  It is a Mystery/Thriller set in the enchanting, sleepy coastal town of Beaufort, N.C.  If you have ever dreamed of sailing or already have the "bug" you will love it.  I find Beaufort to be one of the most challenging places that I have ever put the sail to the wind.  The betrayal of one of the characters produces the hurt which most people have experienced at least once in their life.  Mental illness is my medical contribution.

Rosemary Beach begins as a Romance but just as in life, the situation changes.  One reviewer stated that you couldn't have more than one genre.  Really?  Tell life that.  This book again includes sailing, betrayal, a murderous villain and redemption.  The medical fact is depression.

Dusty the Island Dog is a true tale about two dogs who once lived in Abaco, Bahamas.  They were real dogs that my husband and I walked the beach with each day.  I told them that I would write a book so this is my tribute to these legends.  Especially helpful to a child who has experienced loss or abuse, Dusty has a healing factor.  Everyone, regardless of age will enjoy learning about real island living.

Will He? is one of my best works but has received the least attention.  Perhaps, it is the cover?  I thought that the cover was brilliant when my publisher suggested it.  The story is of loss and the importance of family.  Laura is sent back to her ancestral home in Frascatti, Italy where she discovers a nasty little secret about some of the men in her past.  Her brother, Lars, seems to fit into the description.  The ending is a white knuckle one.  Misogyny is the medical topic.

Till Heaven Then Forever is my love story to my husband and God.  The strange thing is that it is told from my husband's point of view.  Set again in Abaco, Bahamas; this is all about island living with much more.  The point is that tremendous wealth does not guarantee happiness.  There is something in each of us that requires the presence of God.  Macular Degeneration is discussed.

SMJ: Who is your favorite character, and why?

LHG My favorite character is Lily in Till Heaven Then Forever.  This is my latest book which is a Romance.  She is really me.  That is my husband and my love story to each other.  It is such a powerful story with a very controversial ending.  I have been chastised for the ending but I write what is in my heart.

SMJ: What is your current project about, and when is the expected release date?

LHG  My current project has just been sent to the publisher.  It is a Thriller.  Wow, I am so proud of it.  I did quite a bit of research on Bali, Indonesia which is one of the settings as well as London which is a place that I really enjoy visiting.  Again, I try to pull upon my own experiences.  You know the drill, the release is now in the hands of my publisher.  Probably about six months.

SMJ: What genre do you usually write in?

LHG Usually I write Mystery/Thrillers but just released a Romance.  I also have one children's book which is for everyone.

SMJ: When did you decide to become a writer?

LHG  I began to write due to a vision which would not leave me.  Beaufort Betrayal was my first book. The vision would not dissipate so I prayed.  The book that resulted still amazes me.

SMJ: Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day?

LHG  In the winter, I am able to write much more and find that I am able to write at least a chapter per day.  Summers are difficult.  I can't spend too much time from my husband; these are our retirement years to spend together.

SMJ: Where do you draw inspiration from?

LHG  God

SMJ: What do you think is the biggest challenge about writing, or that writer’s face?

LHG  The biggest challenge for me is finding the time.  Writing comes so easily for me and I love it.  The problem is not coming up with ideas but finding the time to write them.  I am close to heaven when I write.

SMJ: How do you handle Writer’s Block?
LHG  I have never experienced Writer's Block.

SMJ: Who does your cover art, and teasers?

LHG My publisher does all of that.

SMJ: How do you handle negativitiy? Have you ever had any negative ones? If
so how does that affect your writing?

LHG When I received my first negative review from a newspaper; I was shocked.  Not that I received a bad review but it was so obvious that this person love to brag and make herself look good.  I just smiled and knew that she would not be able to do that for long.

SMJ: Which social network works best for you?

15.  Facebook

SMJ: What is your favorite motivational phrase?

LHG  "Trust God and leave the consequences to him."  Dr. Charles Stanley

SMJ: Must-have supplies for the zombie apocalypse?

LHG  Who knows?

SMJ: Brains or Brawn?

LHG  Brains.
