BDSM Glossary of Terms

Glossary of Terms:

BDSM or S/M = Bondage, Dominance, Sadism, Masochism or Sadism/Masochism. Sometimes s/M can signify slave/Master but typically it means sadism/masochism.

TPE = Total Power Exchange, the consensual agreement between two adult parties to exchange power and control over another person particularly in a sexual setting or BDSM act.

Submissive = a person who agrees to be the subservient party to another because they are a person who enjoys the thrill of being in service to others, particularly in a sexual setting.

Slave = a collared person becoming willing property of another whom they usually refer to as their Master.

Master = a proper title for a person who is in control and experienced in the BDSM subculture.

Dominant = the person who is in charge of a submissive and maintains the power and control figurehead in a BDSM act or sexual setting.

Domme = proper term for a female dominant.

Dom = proper term for a male dominant.

Mistress = proper term for a female of equal station to a Master. (Note: Some dommes do not appreciate being called Mistress as per military code, example: All officers being called Sir as opposed to Ma'am to note gender.)

Femdom =   Female dominance.

Daddy Dom/Daddy = a term used for a male dominant, typically this denotes a sugar daddy station though purposes for the title can depend on the couple dynamic in particular.

Pet = denotes a submissive or a slave depending on the relationship dynamic. A lot of times a pet is a person who is pampered by their dominant but not necessarily very close.

Kitten/Kitty = term for a submissive or slave, also short for sex kitten.

Good girl = term of endearment for good behavior.

There are a number of other words that are used in BDSM relationships, but for the basis of facts the above is the glossary of terms used in my erotica series.
